Director

 Sergio Militello (born 1968), one of the most fascinating Italian musicians, is composer, choirmaster, concert performer (organ-piano-harpsichord), musicologist, teacher.
As world-class musician performing and brilliant organist & pianist, Sergio Militello distinguishes himself through his dazzling and highly sensitive performances throughout the world: EUROPE (Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Cezch Republic, France, Poland, Austria, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Iceland, Netherlands, Belgium, Vatican City), AUSTRALIA (Queensland), USA (District of Columbia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachussets, Rhode Island, Colorado, Arizona, Florida, California, Minnesota), CANADA (Québec, Ontario), SOUTH AMERICA (Argentina, Chile, Perù, Brazil, Paraguay), ASIA (China, Taiwan), RUSSIA.
He appears in numerous Concert Series and International Festivals. He played the largest and prestigious instruments in the world at important Cathedrals & Concert Halls (Pontifical Basilicas, Florentine Basilica Laurenziana, Washington National Cathedral, Mariacka Basylica in Krakow, West Point Cadet Chapel, Cathedral of Salzburg, St Thomas NYCity, Catedral del Cuzco, Hong Kong Cultural Center, Taiwan National Concert Hall, Cathedral of Bruxelles, Fordham University, Princeton University, Moscow Catholic Cathedral, Boston College, Basilique de Sion-Valère, etc.).
His performances are warmly received for their artistic quality, repertory, color of the sound, and his “pyrothecnic” ability in the «Art of Improvisation», with which he customarily finishes his concerts (at Organ or Piano): he has become one the leading organist & pianist improvisers in the world, infact he shows virtuosity, musicality, lyrical performance, total mastery. He created and was Professor of the “Academie Internationale de l’Improvisation á l’Orgue” in Montpellier (France).
His exbition are a real spectacle and his performances are a also visual experience. Mr Militello's programs have often been praised for their variety and interest, as well as for the artistic and communicative integrity he brings to the music of the "king of instruments", incorporating music of all periods and styles into his programs.
He has published CDs and musical scores as composer for choir or soloist & organ, chamber music. He has written various compositions: liturgical songs, organ music, motets for the choir, hymns, music for soloist instrumentalists & organ, pieces for soloist singers & chamber orchestras, chamber and orchestral music, transcriptions & harmonisations for sacred songs. 
In 2002 he founded the «International Center of Sacred Music». 
From 2003 to 2012 Sergio Militello has been Director of the «Diocesan Institute of Sacred Music» of the Florence Archdiocese. He has been also Member of the Consult for “Music for the Liturgy” of "National Liturgical Office" of the «Italian Episcopal Conference» (Rome), Choirmaster & Principal Organist of the great Cathedral “S.Maria del Fiore” in Florence (Italy).
In 2012 he opened the «Year of Faith» with a special organ concert in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires (Argentina), metropolitan Seat of Cardinal J.M.Bergoglio, the future Pope FRANCIS.
In 2003 he received a special Appreciation from Holy Father JOHN PAUL II, in 2008 the Benemerance from «Cavalieri di San Silvestro» (Italy), in 2013 a Resolution from the Senate of the State of Rhode Island (USA), in 2017 the Investiture as «Consul de Septimanie» (France).
He is teacher at “Pontifical Gregorian University” (Rome) and in others important Academic Institutions. He gives conferences (also on the radio) and writes essays on the subject of Sacred Music.
Sergio Militello has been “Professor” of Music at Schola Puerorum of the Pontifical “Sistine” Musical Chapel and he carried out various ministries, including that of Organist at Holy Father's daily Masses in the Vatican.
On December 2019 Sergio Militello has performed a benefit Piano concert on occasion of the Centenary of International Organization "Save The Children".
